Teju Olarewaju

Nigerian audio engineer and founder of Cosmic Audio Lab. He builds the plugins on this site.

Rolling Stone Africa reported on 2 March 2026 that at 23 he developed DriftTone, widely regarded as Nigeria’s first professional audio plugin. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design as salutatorian for the Class of 2024. He is Dolby Atmos certified, Pro Tools Post certified, and a recipient of the Audio Engineering Society Educational Foundation award, with a Cinema Audio Society nomination.

The Guardian Nigeria published a profile on 21 March 2026. He was raised across the UK, the United States, Brunei, and Nigeria. After Mount Kelly in the UK he enrolled in SCAD sound design. He served as a Lead pre college assistant for the 2025 Rising Star program, as a sound design student ambassador, and as the department peer tutor for four years. He holds Adobe certification and Avid Pro Tools Post certification.

He was nominated for the Cinema Audio Society Student Recognition Award and attended the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton. The Heinz Wake It Up advertisement, which he mixed, won in the commercial and editor categories of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Student Production Awards, administered by the Southeast Regional Emmy Chapter, with a Subway Mayday commercial and Bird’s Eye receiving nominations.
